BOEING CO/THE is significantly accelerating its recruitment efforts in the United States, adding between 100 and 140 factory workers per week. This hiring surge, the most rapid pace since 2024, aims to offset a wave of retirements and bolster staffing for increased production targets and upcoming aircraft models.
Jon Holden, a vice president at the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), noted that the company’s unionized workforce in the Pacific Northwest has surpassed 34,000 members and continues to grow. The expansion is part of a broader strategy to stabilize the workforce after the disruptions of recent years.
