Alongside 3G Capital, the firm was instrumental in the 2015 merger that created the current entity. However, the Kraft Heinz Companyhas struggled significantly as one of the worst performers in the USpackaged food sector, recording a $3 billion writedown in 2019 and a further $3.76 billion writedown in 2025. These cumulative losses of $6.76 billion highlight the structural pressures facing the firm, including deep cost cuts, limited innovation, and growing competition from healthier and private-label brands.
