BARCLAYS PLC raised its 2026 Brent Crude Oil forecast to $100 per barrel from $85 on May 1. The revision follows a continued blockade in the Strait of Hormuz involving Iran and the United_States. An Iranian proposal on negotiations with the U.S. pressured Brent crude oil futures on Friday. Investors face a 6.6 million barrel per day market deficit that could push prices toward $110 if disruptions persist through the end of May.
