Bank of England Chief Economist Huw Pill expressed skepticism regarding market expectations for four interest rate hikes over the coming year. While persistent inflation risks remain from the Gulf conflict, policy views within the central bank have begun to converge.

Bank of England Chief Economist Huw Pill expressed skepticism on Wednesday regarding market expectations for four quarter-point interest rate hikes over the coming year.
