Developer Bathla Enters Administration
Australian residential property developer Bathla Group has entered external administration to restructure billions in liabilities. The firm cited rising construction costs, softening sales, and recent tax changes as key pressures.
Residential property developer Bathla Group called in external administrators on Monday morning, burdened by A$3.2 billion ($2.29 billion) in liabilities as of June 2025. The move threatens thousands of homes under construction in Australia amid a broader housing market slowdown. The collapse challenges a federal goal to build 1.2 million homes by 2030.
