ASTRAZENECA PLC launched a $1.5 billion annual savings plan on Friday to fund its new drug pipeline, targeting $80 billion in revenue by 2030. The Anglo-Swedish drugmaker expects restructuring charges of up to $2 billion to complete the programme by the end of 2029. CEO Pascal Soriot aims to offset recent trial setbacks and secure long-term growth as global competitors face patent expirations.
