Asian Stocks Rally and Oil Rebounds on Iran Deadline
Asian markets rose on Tuesday after President Trump delayed a strike on Iran's power grid. Oil prices recovered while the dollar remained under pressure.
Global financial markets experienced a notable shift on Tuesday as the United States President Donald Trump opted to postpone a planned military strike on the power grid in Iran. This decision, which extended a previous ultimatum by five days, helped alleviate immediate concerns regarding a severe energy shock and provided a boost to risk appetite across the Asian trading session.
In Singapore, market participants reacted to the easing of geopolitical tensions, leading to a rally in regional equities. The broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside of Japan, managed by MSCI Inc., climbed 1.3%, while the benchmark index in Australia rose by 0.7%. Markets in Japan saw even stronger gains, with the Nikkei advancing more than 2% to reclaim much of the ground lost during Monday's sharp decline.
