AI hyperscaler debt forecasts rise to 175 billion dollars
BofA Global Research raised its 2026 debt forecast for major AI firms to 175 billion dollars. High demand follows Amazon's recent record bond issuance.
Financial analysts are significantly increasing their supply forecasts for debt issued by major technology hyperscalers following a massive bond sale by Amazon.com, Inc.. The company recently raised approximately $54 billion in investment-grade bonds, signaling a rapid acceleration in capital raising to fund artificial intelligence infrastructure.
John Servidea, the co-head of investment-grade debt capital markets at JPMorgan Chase & Co., which led the Amazon transaction, noted that the sector's capital needs remain substantial as companies build out data centers for AI training and deployment.
