Alstom Wins 1.2B Euro Train Deal
French train maker Alstom has won contracts worth over 1.2 billion euros to supply and maintain twenty-nine battery-electric trains for Britain. The new fleet will be delivered starting in 2032 to support northern England.

ALSTOM secured a €1.2 billion ($1.4 billion) contract on Friday morning to supply and maintain 29 battery-electric trains in the United Kingdom. The agreement marks a major milestone for the France-headquartered manufacturer's rolling stock operations. The order includes a rolling stock segment valued at €930 million for TransPennine Express.
