Agilent raises 2026 profit outlook on lab tool demand
Agilent raised its 2026 profit forecast as demand for lab tools recovers. The firm beat second-quarter estimates, sending shares up over 10% in late trading.
AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC raised its 2026 adjusted profit forecast to $6 to $6.10 per share on Wednesday evening. The life sciences firm previously expected $5.90 to $6.04, representing an 8-cent increase at the midpoint. Improving biotech funding in the United States is stabilizing demand for diagnostic services and laboratory equipment.
Shares of Agilent rose more than 10% in evening trading following the announcement. The company reported second-quarter revenue of $1.83 billion, exceeding LSEG estimates of $1.80 billion. Adjusted profit for the period reached $1.49 per share, beating the $1.41 consensus.
