Western mining executives can match China's speed in developing critical minerals if African governments streamline approvals, KoBold Metals President Josh Goldman said on Monday. Backed by billionaires from the United States, the exploration firm argues that regulatory reform will let Western investors deploy capital faster. Competition for critical minerals is intensifying as major economies race to secure supplies for electric vehicles and defense technologies.
