Germany Approves Fuel Tax Cut
Germany has approved a fuel tax discount costing €2.5 billion to help citizens deal with soaring energy prices caused by the ongoing Iran conflict. The government will cut taxes on gasoline and diesel from October until December.

Germany approved a gasoline tax discount on Friday costing federal and state governments €2.5 billion ($2.85 billion). The lower house passed the law, and the upper house raised no objections.
