Samsung SDI Lends 1.05 Billion Dollars to StarPlus Energy

The South Korean battery manufacturer Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. has announced plans to extend a significant loan to StarPlus Energy, its joint venture partnership with Stellantis N.V.. The financial support is intended to bolster the venture's production capacity as the global demand for electric vehicle components continues to rise.
According to a regulatory filing released in South Korea, the company will provide 1.6 trillion won, which is approximately $1.05 billion, to the joint entity. The filing clarified that these funds are specifically earmarked for capital investment projects within the StarPlus Energy framework.
