Entergy Corporation has reached a revised agreement with Meta Platforms, Inc. that will see the technology giant pay the full cost of service for its planned hyperscale data center in the United States. Following the announcement on Friday, shares of the utility rose 4.8% in early trading. The updated deal is projected to deliver nearly $2 billion in savings for utility customers over the next 20 years, a significant increase from the $650 million in savings estimated when the project was first announced last year.
