Canada's S&P/TSX composite index fell 0.1% to 33,795.69 points during the morning on May 19. Higher-than-expected inflation and rising bond yields offset optimism from easing geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran. Canadian annual inflation accelerated to 2.8% in April from 2.4% in March.
