KGHM POLSKA MIEDZ SA is pivoting its corporate strategy to prioritize the acquisition of copper resources in Europe and Morocco. This strategic shift aims to secure ore supplies in closer proximity to its primary smelting operations in Poland, thereby reducing the high logistics costs associated with its global footprint. During an interview in Santiago, Chile, CEO Remigiusz Paszkiewicz explained that the company is actively seeking assets that can more efficiently feed its domestic production sites.
