Nestle water business stake sale enters next bidding round

According to a report by the Financial Times on Friday, firms including Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), KKR & Co. Inc., and PAI Partners have moved forward in the competition for a 50% stake in the unit.

The transaction, which includes iconic brands such as Perrier and San Pellegrino, could value the water business at approximately 5 billion euros, equivalent to about $5.75 billion. In addition to the three firms moving to the next round, Platinum Equity has also expressed interest in the deal, according to sources familiar with the matter cited in the report.

While the bidding process appears to be gaining momentum, the specific terms and final valuation remain subject to further negotiations. The move comes as global food and beverage giants continue to evaluate their portfolios to focus on high-growth segments.
