EU adds Turks and Caicos and Vietnam to tax havens list

EU finance ministers updated their tax haven list on Tuesday by adding Vietnam and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Fiji and Samoa were among those removed.

On February 17, 2026, EU finance ministers updated the EU list of tax havens, a formal policy action by the European Union designed to enforce tax good governance. This latest update involved adding the Turks and Caicos Islands TCTC and Vietnam VNVN to the list, while removing Fiji FJFJ, Samoa WSWS, and Trinidad and Tobago TTTT. This decision changes which jurisdictions face reputational damage, higher scrutiny of financial transactions, and the potential loss of EU funds.
