The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will support Ukraine in privatizing state-owned banks and nationalized industries, potentially providing direct funding for the effort. Ukraine aims to raise 13 billion hryvnia ($295 million) this year to offset war-related budget deficits. For investors, EBRD backing reduces risk in a market where the state controls over 50% of banking.
