Indias Nykaa reported its second-quarter net profit nearly tripled to 1.01 billion rupees as strong demand for premium beauty products boosted operating margins. Revenue from operations rose 28.1 percent while the fashion business turned profitable at the EBITDA level.

FSN E-COMMERCE VENTURES LTD posted a consolidated net profit of 1.01 billion rupees ($10.66 million) for the quarter ended September 30, nearly tripling from 344.3 million rupees a year earlier. The beauty and fashion retailer benefited from improved operating efficiency and strong demand for premium products across India. Revenue from operations rose 28.1% year-on-year to 30.06 billion rupees during the period.
