Republican U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga faces a competitive challenge from Democratic state Sen. Sean McCann in southwest Michigan’s 4th Congressional District, unofficial returns showed. The contest in the United States congressional district emerged as a toss-up after political handicappers shifted their ratings from previous predictions favoring Huizenga. Both campaigns and outside groups spent over $15 million on the race since August, reflecting high stakes in a district vital to national control.
