CFTC blocks Kalshi from canceling Michigan trades

The U.S. derivatives regulator has intervened to prevent prediction market Kalshi from canceling trades in Michigan following a state court order. CFTC Chair Michael Selig stated that federal law permits sports-related event contracts and that states cannot force markets to violate federal obligations.
