Foreign weapons and drone networks are sustaining the war in Sudan, with over 1,000 civilians killed in drone strikes during the first five months of 2026, a U.N. fact-finding mission said on Thursday. The conflict, which erupted in April 2023, has displaced more than 14 million people. Investigators accused both warring parties of war crimes.
