Nemetschek CEO Says Thoma Bravo Could Sell Stake via IPO
Nemetschek CEO Yves Padrines said Thoma Bravo may exit its 28% stake in the construction unit via an IPO. The firm received the stake after selling HCSS.
The Chief Executive Officer of NEMETSCHEK SE, Yves Padrines, has indicated that private equity firm Thoma Bravo could eventually divest its stake in the company's construction software division through an initial public offering. This development follows a strategic acquisition by the software provider, based in Germany, which recently integrated the United States-based firm HCSS into its operations.
Under the terms of the agreement, Thoma Bravo received a 28% stake in Nemetschek's Build & Construct division in exchange for HCSS. Padrines noted that while several exit strategies exist for the private equity firm, a public listing is currently viewed as the most likely path forward.
