Microsoft is preparing to launch its new Maia 300 AI chip next month as it seeks to reduce reliance on expensive Nvidia hardware. The company has reportedly discussed manufacturing over 300,000 units with TSMC for delivery by 2027 while aiming for a total capacity of one million chips.
