Mexico startup Primero raised $12 million in a Tuesday morning seed round co-led by venture firms Kaszek and General Catalyst. The financing ranks as one of the largest seed rounds in the region to date. The capital will fund talent acquisition and enterprise software deployments across Latin America.
The funding round drew participation from angel investors linked to FOMENTO ECONOMICO MEX-SP ADR, GRUPO BIMBO SAB- SERIES A, GRUPO AEROMEXICO SAB DE CV, and KIMBERLY-CLARK DE MEXICO-A. Primero aims to modernize legacy software systems that still drive core operations for large companies in the region.
