The conflict in the Middle East is expected to widen the economic gap across Latin America and the Caribbean, providing temporary support to oil exporters while dimming the prospects for tourism-dependent and energy-importing nations. According to a recent assessment by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the region is projected to see growth of 2.3% in 2026, a slight decrease from 2.4% in 2025, with a potential rise to 2.7% by 2027.
