John Williams, the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, stated on Tuesday that the energy shock resulting from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East is expected to drive up headline inflation over the course of this year. During an interview with Bloomberg television, Williams explained that the volatility in energy markets will have a direct impact on consumer price indices.
