China Calls for Stronger Global Governance
China has called for stronger international governance of the deep sea, polar regions, and outer space. Speaking at a forum in Xiongan, officials also stressed that artificial intelligence must remain under human control.
China Foreign Minister Wang Yi called for strict regulatory oversight of outer space, polar regions, and the deep sea during a Friday morning speech. The address opened the 3-day Global Governance Forum in Xiongan. Beijing is using the event to push for a reformed international order.
