Louisiana Prepares for US House Primary
Louisiana voters will choose six candidates for the US House of Representatives following court map changes. The open primary is scheduled for November third with a runoff on December twelfth.
Voters across United States state Louisiana will contest six U.S. House seats in an open primary on November 3, followed by a general election on December 12.
The primary schedule shifted after federal courts ruled the previous congressional map an unconstitutional gerrymander, cancelling earlier May and June contests. The revised timeline aligns the House open primary directly with the United States Senate general election.
