SpaceX is looking to raise more than $25 billion in an IPO that could come as early as June, according to a person familiar with the matter.

"It's going to be the craziest IPO in the history of the stock market," said Shay Boloor, chief market strategist for Futurum Equities Research. "If it's trying to go for $1.5 trillion, I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up to over $2 trillion once it gets open." The demand from retail investors is expected to be substantial despite the high-risk and capital-intensive nature of the aerospace business.
