YouTube, a subsidiary of ALPHABET INC-CL A, has implemented its first subscription price increase in the United States in three years. The adjustments, which affect several service tiers, are scheduled to take effect starting with the next billing cycle as the platform moves to address rising content and operating costs.

Under the updated pricing structure, the standard individual YouTube Premium plan has increased from $13.99 to $15.99 per month. The family plan is seeing a $4 increase, bringing the new monthly rate to $26.99. Additionally, the YouTube Lite tier, which offers ad-free viewing for most videos but excludes YouTube Music Premium and continues to show ads on Shorts and music content, is now priced at $8.99 per month. The standalone YouTube Music Premium service has also been adjusted upward by $1 to a monthly fee of $11.99.
