WTO Head Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Calls for Global Trade System Overhaul

WTO chief Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala urged global trade reforms at a Munich conference today. She called for leadership from Europe to ensure a robust system.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the head of the World Trade Organization, has expressed agreement with calls from the United States USUS government for a comprehensive reform of the global trading system. Speaking ahead of a major WTO meeting in Cameroon CMCM scheduled for next month, Okonjo-Iweala urged for significant changes to address long-standing structural weaknesses within the international trade framework.
