Wilmar annual profit rises 9.7 percent to 1.28 billion
Wilmar International reported a 9.7 percent rise in annual core net profit to 1.28 billion dollars. The results fell slightly short of analyst expectations.
WILMAR INTERNATIONAL LTD reported a 9.7% rise in annual core net profit, bolstered by a strong performance from its feed and industrial products segment. The company, one of the world's largest food producers based in Singapore, posted a core net profit of $1.28 billion for the 12 months ended December 31. This result marks an increase from the $1.16 billion reported the previous year, although it fell short of the $1.31 billion consensus estimate from Visible Alpha. The growth was primarily driven by the feed and industrial products division, which helped offset challenges in other areas. Wilmar International remains a dominant player in the global food production industry, maintaining a diverse portfolio across the agricultural value chain.
