WHO Chief Concerned by Rapid Spread of Ebola Outbreak
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned of the rapid spread of Ebola as deaths reach 131. The agency approved 3.9 million dollars for the response efforts.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported 516 suspected Ebola cases and 131 fatalities following an outbreak of the virus in East Africa. The outbreak has spread across the Democratic Republic of the Congo and into neighboring Uganda. Cases have been identified in major urban centers including Goma and Kampala.
