The United States is actively negotiating a critical minerals supply chain agreement with Brazil, aiming to secure essential resources despite a period of heightened diplomatic friction between the two nations. U.S. Chargé d'Affaires Gabriel Escobar confirmed the discussions following the signing of a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian state of Goias.
The announcement coincided with a U.S. embassy-sponsored event designed to connect American investors with Brazilian mining firms. Major financial and industrial players, including Citigroup Inc. and Anglo American plc, participated in the forum.
