Judge Upholds Removal of Trump Name From Kennedy Center
A federal judge and an appeals court have both rejected requests to pause an order requiring the removal of Donald Trump's name from the Kennedy Center. The court ruled that only Congress has the legal authority to rename the national memorial.

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper denied a request Friday to pause an order requiring the removal of Donald Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center. The decision forces the venue to strip the former president's name from its facade and digital platforms by late evening Friday. The ruling found that only Congress has the legal authority to rename the venue memorializing John F. Kennedy.
