The United States federal budget deficit for February remained nearly unchanged at $308 billion, as growth in government receipts was balanced by a corresponding rise in outlays. According to the Treasury Department, receipts for the month rose 6% to $313 billion, while spending increased 3% to $621 billion compared to February 2025. This period represents the first full month of fiscal data under the Donald Trump administration.
