US Customs reports 166 billion in emergency tariff duties
US Customs collected 166 billion dollars in duties under tariffs later struck down. The agency says it cannot yet process refunds for 20 million entries.

The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency reported on Friday that it has amassed approximately $166 billion in duties and deposits via emergency tariffs. These levies, enacted under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) during the Trump administration, were subsequently invalidated by the Supreme Court.
