The UNHCR reported that aid delivery costs to Sudan more than doubled to $1.87 million following the outbreak of war in Iran. Shipping disruptions since late February forced relief vessels to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, adding 25 days to delivery timelines. Rising logistics costs and a 15% jump in fuel prices are draining the agency's $8.5 billion budget, which is currently 23% funded.
