The housing market in the United Kingdom demonstrated renewed strength in February as annual house price growth reached its fastest pace since October. According to data released by mortgage lender Halifax on Friday, residential property prices rose by 1.3% in the 12 months to February. This figure exceeded the 0.9% growth projected by economists in a Reuters poll and marked an acceleration from the 1.1% annual increase recorded in January.
