The government of the United Kingdom is set to announce a 1 billion pound ($1.3 billion) investment on Monday to address rising youth unemployment. The initiative targets 16- to 24-year-olds who are not in education, employment, or training, following data showing that joblessness in this age group has reached a 10-year high of 16.1%.
