UK watchdog investigates major hotels for data sharing

The competition regulator in the United Kingdom has launched a formal investigation into allegations of improper information sharing among some of the world's largest hotel operators. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) stated on Monday that it is looking into whether Hilton, InterContinental Hotels, and Marriott exchanged competitively sensitive data through a specialized platform.
