The government of Uganda has appointed CITIGROUP INC to coordinate the mobilization of funds for its 2.7 billion euro ($3.19 billion) Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) project. The finance ministry announced the move on Thursday, noting that the country is also in active discussions with the World Bank to secure additional support for the infrastructure initiative.
