The main stock index in Canada recorded its largest daily gain since April on Tuesday, as investors found hope in the potential de-escalation of Middle East tensions. The Toronto Stock Exchange S&P/TSX Composite Index rose 833.10 points, or 2.6%, to finish at 32,768.04. Despite the strong performance, the index ended the month of March down 4.6%, marking its most significant monthly slide in nearly three years. On a quarterly basis, however, the market remained resilient with a 3.3% increase, representing the seventh consecutive quarter of growth.
