Thailand PTT Offers More High Sulphur Fuel Oil for May
Thai state-owned energy company PTT has offered four cargoes of high-sulphur fuel oil for loading in May. This marks an increase from its usual monthly volume.
Reporting from Singapore, market sources indicate that the state-owned energy enterprise of Thailand, PTT PCL, has offered a larger volume of high-sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) for May loading than in previous months. The company has offered four cargoes of HSFO in a tender that closes this Thursday, with all shipments scheduled to load from the port of Sriracha.

One of the cargoes consists of 18,000 tons of fuel oil scheduled to load between May 5 and 7, according to the sources. The other three cargoes each consist of 25,000 tons, with loading windows scheduled for May 15-17, May 23-25, and May 29-31, respectively. This volume is a significant increase from the refiner's typical activity, as it usually offers only one to two HSFO cargoes for loading per month via Sriracha. Companies involved in such transactions typically do not comment on the specifics of commercial tenders.
