TENCENT HOLDINGS LTD reported a 13% rise in quarterly revenue on Wednesday, benefiting from strong demand for its gaming titles and the rapid expansion of its artificial intelligence services. The Shenzhen-based company recorded revenue of 194.4 billion yuan ($28.28 billion) for the quarter ending December 31, slightly exceeding the 193.5 billion yuan projected by analysts. As the operator of the largest social media and gaming ecosystem in China, Tencent also reported a net profit of 58.26 billion yuan, outperforming the average estimate of 57.75 billion yuan. The results highlight the company's successful navigation of the current market environment through technological innovation. Industry observers in Singapore and Beijing noted that the growth in AI demand has become a critical driver for the firm's cloud and advertising segments.
