Telenor reaches agreement to sell stake in True Corporation for 39 billion crowns

Telenor is divesting its entire holding in Thailand's True Corporation for approximately 39 billion Norwegian crowns. The deal is expected to close soon.

Telenor ASA , the major telecommunications operator based in Norway NONO, has signed an agreement to sell its entire stake in True Corporation in Thailand THTHto Arise Digital Technology Company for approximately 39 billion Norwegian crowns. This total value is equivalent to 3.92 billion US dollars based on a US Dollar / Norwegian Krone exchange rate where one dollar equals 9.9484 crowns. The transaction includes an initial sale of 24.95% of True Corporationand a deferred sale of the remaining 5.35% stake that will occur two years after the closing of the initial sale.
