Iran warns Gulf energy sites after oil facility strikes
Iran warned of strikes on Gulf energy sites after attacks hit its South Pars facilities today. Oil prices rose as Tehran issued evacuation orders for the area.
Iran has issued a stern warning to its neighbors following attacks on its oil and gas infrastructure in South Pars and Asaluyeh on Wednesday. Tehran stated it would target energy installations across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar in response to the strikes.
The escalation sent shockwaves through global energy markets, with Brent Crude Futures jumping more than 6% to reach a session high of nearly $110 per barrel. Analysts warn that the strikes on South Pars significantly increase the risk of retaliatory actions against Gulf energy assets, including those owned by international oil majors.
