Taiwan plans to send experts to assess United States rare earth deposits for local refining

Taiwan is sending a team to assess US rare earth deposits for local refining. This initiative aims to secure supply chains and reduce reliance on China.

Taiwan TWTW announced on Wednesday, February 11, that it will send officials to the United States USUS to assess U.S. rare earth deposits to determine which elements they contain and whether they are suitable for refining on the island. This assessment is part of a strategic effort to develop domestic refining capacity and strengthen the critical-minerals supply chain amid recent disruptions and rising domestic demand.
